Reading and Writing (Activity VI)

Are we like Frankenstein? Do we create monsters and run away from them in the hopes that they will go away? Or are we like the creature, hating our creator and our very own existence? How often do we fear what we don’t understand? How often are we repulsed by ugliness? How often do we try to excuse our unbecoming behavior towards others?

I believe that in some way we are like Frankenstein in what we do, we choose to ignore or make problems that aren’t real to not have to face the truth. But at the same time we are like creatures, we are afraid of being alone and it terrifies us to our core. We also react to ugliness quite badly, we tend to judge on appearances alot instead of getting to know the person. We like to excuse our behavior towards other people because of the strong reaction we have to them, it is quite sad to see the behavior people have to others just because of how they look.
